| BIOGRAPHY TEFLON CHILD is the creation of electronic musician Dan Porter, and can be described as the hybrid of an orchestrated electro-acoustic band flavoured by Indie, Progressive Dance, and Electronica genres. This collective has developed since its conception five years ago, utilising musicians and vocalists to create an explosive impact. Performing on the London and national club circuit, this North London-based act are starting to be spoken about in the same breath as names such as Hybrid, Faithless, Kosheen, Way Out West and Moby, fronting their own unique style, that could be described as live electronica/breaks with classical influences. The live act features main vocalist Tom Cameron, bassist Lee Porter, Dennis White on drums and Dan Porter on synths. Teflon Child also build on their intense onstage presence by collaborating across a wide range of vocalists and their differing styles, including Jim Connelly and Deb O'Mahony. Amy Squire and Suzanne Corne are also frequent guest violinists, who bring additional life and emotion to the euphoric string arrangements. |
